WHO Officials Call For Ban On Sales Of E-cigarettes, Cigarettes Near Schools

WHO officials call for ban on sales of e-cigarettes, cigarettes near schools

The CEO of the World Health Organization’s Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) recently called for a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes and cigarettes near schools.

Deborah Arnott, chief executive of Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), said the UK already banned cigarettes in schools and the government needed to take similar measures on e-cigarettes.

"Currently, many children can buy e-cigarettes in stores. We hope to ban tobacco advertising and promotional interactions in stores where children can enter to prevent children from using pocket money to buy tobacco products," Arnott said.
