Ukraine officially bans flavored e-cigarettes, effective July 11
Ukraine, an Eastern European country, has officially banned flavored e-cigarettes with a requirement to start today (July 11).
According to a bill restricting the use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) by the Ministry of National Consumer Services of Ukraine, it will come into effect on July 11. Flavoring additives (such as fruit flavors and cooling flavors) of electronic cigarettes are prohibited.
The focus is on a few things to watch:
1. No taste allowed
Flavoring additives (such as fruit flavors and cooling flavors) of electronic cigarettes are prohibited.
The sale of tobacco products containing the following additives is specifically prohibited: vitamins and pseudo-health supplements; caffeine, taurine and energy supplements; additives that color emissions; and supplements that promote nicotine absorption.
2. Limit the capacity of e-liquid
Requirements, the volume of bottled e-liquid should not exceed 10ml;
3. One-time capacity.
It is required that the volume of disposable e-cigarettes or pods should not exceed 2ml; another potential meaning is that large puffs are basically banned at one time.
4. The nicotine concentration should not exceed 2%.
Judging from the new rules of Ukraine, the judgment of the new force of atomization is that Ukraine, an Eastern European country, has already started the e-cigarette operation. In fact, this year, we have also seen some countries in Eastern Europe adopt restrictive measures for e-cigarettes. For example, restrict flavors, restrict sales scenarios, restrict capacity and packaging, etc. Ukraine is just one example. In addition to other countries, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Sweden, etc., in addition, Poland and the Czech Republic are relatively neutral, and there is currently no tightening trend.
In addition, Ukraine also restricts the use of e-cigarettes in public places, and if it violates the regulations, it will be fined 50,000 hryvnia (about 14,220 yuan).
It is of concern that cigarettes with nicotine or flavoring and aromatic additives, which have the characteristic taste and smell of smoke, are also banned, including basic tobacco products.
Ukraine, an Eastern European country, has a high proportion of smokers and is also one of the main e-cigarette markets. Its illegal e-cigarette market has grown significantly in recent years, which has attracted tightening. Some e-cigarette brands in Ukraine are relatively active in the market, among which representative brands include VapeBros, J WELL, VapeOnly, Joyetech, etc. The e-cigarette products of these brands are all excellent in terms of performance, quality, and style. Since then, Ukraine has also become the sixth European country to pass a ban on flavored e-cigarette products (except tobacco flavors), and prohibits the use and promotion of e-cigarette products in public.
In Eastern Europe, the potential of e-cigarette users is huge, so the market deserves attention. Ukraine has banned flavored e-cigarettes since July 11 and limited the capacity of e-cigarettes, which once again indicates that Eastern European countries have different attitudes towards e-cigarettes.
