UK encourages smokers to switch to vaping

The British government recently stated that it is encouraging more smokers to switch to e-cigarettes. Under the scheme, almost one in five smokers will be provided with a starter kit for vaping, along with support to help them quit, the Department of Health said. The UK government wants to reduce smoking rates from the current 13% to 5%.

"We will give one million smokers new help to quit. We will fund a national 'Swap To Quit' scheme, the first of its kind in the world," the UK government said.
