Singapore seizes a batch of e-cigarette products valued at more than US$5 million
Singapore's Health Sciences Authority (HSA) recently carried out raids and seized more than 85,000 vaping products. It was the largest seizure by the HSA of e-cigarettes and other vaping products, estimated to be worth more than $5 million.
Importing, selling or distributing vaping products is illegal under the country's laws. First-time offenders can be fined up to 10,000 Singapore dollars (1 Singapore dollar is about 5.2 yuan) or jailed for up to 6 months, or both. Penalties for repeat offenders will be doubled.
