Turkish Trade Ministry Report: Nearly 6 million illegal e-cigarettes seized in 2024, with a value of $13 million

The Turkish Minister of Trade announced that in 2024, Turkish authorities seized a total of 5.952 million electronic cigarette devices and their accessories, with a value of $13 million.

According to Tele1 on December 31, at the Command and Control Assessment Meeting of the General Directorate of Customs Protection, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced smuggling data on vehicles, gold, tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and other items seized in 2024.

Bolat pointed out that in 2024, the authorities seized smuggled tobacco products worth 917 million liras (26 million U.S. dollars) in 2,173 cases. In addition, in 2024, Turkey seized more than 5.952 million electronic cigarette devices and their accessories worth 469 million liras (13 million U.S. dollars).
