The Neuquén Province Of Argentina Has Reaffirmed Its Ban On E-cigarettes, Covering Import, Distribution And Marketing.

The Consumer Protection Agency of Neuquén Province, Argentina, on September 24th, reaffirmed the complete effectiveness of the ban on the import, distribution, marketing and advertising of e-cigarettes, similar devices and related accessories.
This restriction also applies to "heated tobacco products" and is based on Resolution No. 565/2023 of the Ministry of Health and Regulation No. 3226/2011 of the National Agency for Drugs, Food and Medical Devices (ANMAT).
This ban is aimed at protecting the public, especially young people, from the dangers of smoking and nicotine use. The provincial health department emphasized, "Nicotine is a highly addictive substance that causes health problems and is associated with chronic lung diseases, cardiovascular diseases and various cancers."
According to official data, smoking remains the main cause of preventable deaths worldwide.
Through this measure, the provincial government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting public health and complying with existing regulations.
