Operation supervisor, Inspector Oliver Lamb, said:
"We have raided the same batch of stores for the third time this year. Previously, we confiscated 18,000 pounds worth of counterfeit Apple goods, but the merchants quickly restocked. The current goal is to completely close these stores."
Public reactions were mixed:
Some passers-by filmed videos criticizing the police for "making a mountain out of a molehill", while others expressed support, stating that these stores often sell disposable electronic cigarettes to minors.
A spokesperson for the National Crime Agency (NCA), Rachael Herbert, said: "Cutting off the source of funds for criminals can effectively prevent their recurrence and release high street space for legitimate businesses. This is the true success."
