The Malaysian Customs Seized Illegal Electronic Cigarettes And E-liquids Worth 5 Million Ringgit.

According to the VIBES news on June 5th: The joint port raid operation in Penang and Selangor intercepted electronic cigarettes that were not declared in the shipping list.
The Malaysian Royal Customs Department conducted two law enforcement operations in Penang and Selangor ports in April, seizing a large quantity of smuggled electronic cigarette equipment and flavoring liquids, with a total value exceeding 5 million ringgit.
On April 3rd, at the Beihai Port in Penang: 14,200 electronic cigarette devices and 210 liters of flavoring liquid were seized, with a black market value of approximately 1.33 million ringgit. Tax evasion amounted to 205,400 ringgit and two people were arrested, including a Chinese citizen. On April 10th, at the Barisan Port in Selangor: 71,886 devices and 786.5 liters of flavoring liquid were seized, with a total value of 3.64 million ringgit, and tax evasion was approximately 830,000 ringgit. A port agent was arrested. Both cases were suspected of false declaration of imported goods, in violation of Section 133(1)(a) of the Customs Act 1967.
This was a major blow to the electronic cigarette smuggling group, and the regulation of electronic cigarettes in Malaysia continues to tighten.
