At the Capital Markets Day event on October 16th, British American Tobacco announced plans to launch the high-end heated tobacco equipment Glo Hilo by the end of 2024 and expects to further expand its market coverage by 2025.
On October 16th, British American Tobacco (BAT) held its Capital Markets Day event at its innovation center in Southampton, UK. During the event, the company revealed its latest developments in the field of heated tobacco products (HTP), including plans to launch the high-end heated tobacco equipment glo Hilo by the end of 2024 and further expand its market coverage by 2025.

As an HTP brand under BAT, Glo will maintain its leading position in the rapidly growing value segment market despite facing market share challenges in 2023.
Previously, the launch of the Glo Hyper Pro had successfully increased BAT's sales share in key markets such as Japan and Italy. The company recognized the importance of shifting towards the more profitable high-end market and therefore plans to launch the high-end heating non combustion equipment - Glo Hilo - in one of its markets by the end of 2024, with further regional expansion in 2025.
As a two-piece device, Glo Hilo's design includes an independent charging device and a detachable heating device. Industry insiders have observed that this product may have similarities with the IQOS ILUMA series products.
