Police in a British city seized nearly 400 illegal e-cigarettes involving the e-cigarette brand "ELUX"

Police in Weston-super-Mare, UK, seized illegal e-cigarettes and tobacco products worth £10,000, some of which involved the e-cigarette brand "ELUX", and further investigation is still ongoing.
According to ITV's report on September 8, illegal e-cigarettes and tobacco products worth £10,000 were seized in Weston-super-Mare, UK.
Recently, Avon and Somerset Police worked with the trading standards team of North Somerset Council to seize a total of 656 packs of illegal cigarettes, 132 packs of hand-rolled tobacco and 383 illegal e-cigarettes, some of which involved the e-cigarette brand "ELUX".
All the seized illegal tobacco did not pay the UK tobacco product tax, and further investigations into these stores are still in the early stages.
Superintendent Jonathan Murray of Yarwen Police said,
"Thanks to the careful planning and execution of a multi-agency operation, we were able to remove nearly £10,000 of illegal tobacco and vaping products from the streets of North Somerset. The sale of counterfeit goods is not a harmless crime. Legitimate businesses suffer as a result, and the sale of counterfeit goods is also linked to funding serious organised crime and is harmful to our communities. Therefore, we have a zero tolerance policy towards the illegal trade."
