Philippine police seized e-cigarettes containing cannabis oil, estimated to be worth about US$3,156
The Philippine police arrested three drug traffickers near General Santos (Purok Maunlad) in Koronadal City and seized 51 e-cigarette cartridges suspected to contain cannabis oil. The estimated market value of the seized illegal goods is 178,500 pesos. ($3156). Currently, the authorities have filed criminal charges against three suspects.
According to the Philippine media ndbcnews reported on April 12, the Philippine police arrested three drug traffickers near General Santos (Purok Maunlad) in Koronadal City and seized 51 e-cigarette cartridges suspected of containing cannabis oil.
The crackdown was jointly carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency's Special Enforcement Team. The estimated market value of the seized illegal goods was 178,500 pesos ($3156), or 3,500 pesos ($61.89) per e-cigarette cartridge.
Currently, the Bureau will initiate criminal proceedings against the three suspects under Section 2, Parts 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165.
