The new e-cigarette law in Singapore came into effect on September 1st. How was the situation in the first week? Let's find out together:
Starting from September 1st, etomidate has been officially classified as a Class C drug, and possession of it is a criminal offense.
First-week results: 232 people were investigated nationwide, 32 were involved in "zombie smoke cartridges", and 14 tested positive.
Penalties have been upgraded:
Consumption: Mandatory detoxification for 6 months, and at least 1 year in prison for repeat offenders.
Sale, distribution, and import: Up to 20 years in prison + caning.
Those who voluntarily seek help for detoxification have a way out:
17 people have voluntarily accepted detoxification counseling, and 21 people have signed up for the "I Quit" detoxification program.
How was the outcome of the electronic cigarette recycling bins?
During the 5-week "Bin the Vape" campaign, 6,000 electronic cigarettes were recycled. Border and social service institutions' recycling bins remain open. Reminder:
