Ispire Has Obtained An FDA Application For Its E-cigarette Technology

The company and its joint venture IKE Tech LLC have submitted a pre-market tobacco product application (PMTA) and a tobacco product master file (TPMF) to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the development of a pioneering age verification component.
This application is the first of its kind in the industry, using an independent, blockchain-supported low-power Bluetooth (BLE) system-on-chip, requiring real-time age verification each time an electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) device is used. This technology aims to prevent minors from vaping by continuously verifying device access rights.
Ispire's co-CEO Michael Wang emphasized the dual advantages of this application, stating that it not only enables the company to commercialize this component but also integrates this technology into Ispire's own devices. This move is expected to put the company at the forefront in the field of compliance innovation and open up new revenue sources.
The submitted PMTA includes a human factors validation study, which shows that the device's success rate in preventing minors from activating it is 100%, with a user error rate of less than 1%, indicating that adults can also use it easily. The application also proposes to release a clinical protocol for peer review, demonstrating Ispire's emphasis on scientific transparency.
