The Taxation Department of Kedah State in Malaysia seized a large quantity of electronic cigarette equipment and e-liquid goods from China, with a total value exceeding 16 million ringgit (approximately 3.4 million US dollars). The man in his 40s involved in the case failed to present the import license required by the Ministry of Health. The case is currently being investigated under the 1967 Tariff Act. Key information: A total of 719,250 electronic cigarette-related products were seized; the value was approximately 13 million ringgit (about 2.7 million US dollars); the tax payable exceeded 3 million ringgit (about 600,000 US dollars); the products originated from China and entered through Kuala Lumpur International Airport; the suspect did not have the import license from the Ministry of Health, and the customs is investigating the use of the goods and related personnel.
