According to foreign media reports, Japan Tobacco will invest 300 billion yen (approximately 1.538 billion yuan) in the next three years to promote the company's heat-not-burn product Ploom X, of which 200 billion yen will be used outside the overseas market.

According to the report, Japan Tobacco did not disclose its investment in heat-not-burn products from 2020 to 2022, and it is estimated that the investment amount exceeds the total investment in the previous three years. The company currently only sells the Ploom X in Japan and the UK, but it will be available in Italy this month.

In addition to Italy, Japan Tobacco also plans to launch Ploom X in more than 10 countries this year and enter at least 20 countries by the end of 2024.
