Thai Police Raided An Illegal Electronic Cigarette Factory in Bangkok

According to the Tobaccoreporter news on September 8th: Thai police raided an illegal e-cigarette factory located in the Bang Khunthian district of Bangkok, arresting two Chinese managers and seizing approximately 20,000 e-cigarette products and production equipment. This operation was carried out by the Economic Crime Strike Force (ECD) based on intelligence reports. The police discovered that the factory was rented by Chinese investors and was used for the production and storage of e-cigarette equipment and e-liquid that is prohibited by Thai law.
The two Chinese citizens have been detained and are accused of conspiring to produce and sell illegal e-cigarettes. At the same time, 11 Burmese workers working in the warehouse have been arrested and confirmed to be illegal immigrants. All the suspects and the seized items have been handed over to the Economic Crime Strike Force for further legal processing.
