According to reports from Cambodia, recently, Prime Minister Hong Manai disclosed that the government has rejected an investment plan proposed by a foreign enterprise to set up an electronic cigarette production factory in Cambodia. Prime Minister Hong Manai explicitly announced that Cambodia strictly prohibits any form of electronic cigarette production, even if the products are only for export. Prime Minister Hong Manai made this statement today when attending the launch ceremony of the "National Cancer Prevention Plan 2025-2030". Prime Minister Hong Manai pointed out that recently, a ministerial official from another country visited the Minister of Commerce, Zanimmo, and proposed the hope of setting up a factory to produce electronic cigarettes in Cambodia, but the Cambodian government has rejected this investment application. Prime Minister Hong Manai emphasized that Cambodia does not welcome such investment projects involving electronic cigarettes. "We have many other investment options and will not affect the national economy because of the ban on the production of electronic cigarettes," Prime Minister Hong Manai said. "We welcome all legal and compliant investments, but electronic cigarettes are not among them." Prime Minister Hong Manai also expressed concerns about the spread of electronic cigarette use among young people, especially among students. "Electronic cigarettes are not a tool for showing off. Students should be judged by grades, college entrance examination scores, not by who is smoking electronic cigarettes," he said. Prime Minister Hong Manai instructed the relevant authorities to strengthen supervision, strictly control the circulation and use of electronic cigarettes, and urge young people to stay away from electronic cigarettes and focus on studying and pursuing a positive and healthy lifestyle.
