British American Tobacco (BAT) has launched a report resource called "Omni™" to showcase its latest progress in reducing tobacco harm. The company plans to have 50 million new tobacco product users by 2030 and achieve the goal of 50% of new tobacco product revenue by 2035.

On September 17, British Tobacco Company (BAT) launched a report resource called "Omni™" on its official website.

According to BAT, The Omni™ is mainly aimed at scientists, public health agencies, regulators, policymakers and investors, and brings together BAT's latest progress in reducing tobacco harm (Tobacco Harm Reduction). Its purpose is to help adult smokers switch to smoke-free alternatives by providing products with lower risks than traditional cigarettes.

"Omni™" contains nine chapters that discuss key issues in tobacco harm reduction and provide the evidence base for global tobacco harm reduction over the past decade.

BAT said its goal is to have 50 million new tobacco product users by 2030 and to make its new tobacco product revenue account for 50% by 2035.

At the same time, BAT also acknowledged that it faces many challenges in promoting a smoke-free world, including opposition from regulators and non-governmental organizations, market sales restrictions, heavy regulatory frameworks, doubts about industry research, and public misunderstanding of the risks of nicotine and smoke-free products. The company emphasized that it will continue to promote the reduction of health hazards of traditional tobacco products through science and innovation.
