Brazilian authorities have launched a joint operation to crack down on the illegal electronic cigarette market, seizing hundreds of electronic cigarette devices related to the brand "VAPRESSO" and arresting four individuals involved in the case.
According to Circuitomt's report on November 11th, Brazilian police launched a joint operation on Monday (11th) in Cuaba and Valzela Grande through the Consumer Protection Special Unit (Decon) and the Consumer Protection Agency of Mato Grosso state (Procon), aimed at cracking down on illegal sales of electronic cigarette equipment.

The police found that five shops in Kuyaba and one shop in Valzela Grande were selling electronic cigarettes, cartridges, and other devices, as well as related e-liquids and accessories. The authorities seized hundreds of electronic cigarettes, e-liquids, and related accessories, and arrested four individuals engaged in illegal sales activities on the spot. The seized products involved the electronic cigarette brand "VAPRESSO".
Rog é rio Ferreira, the head of Decon, stated that the police have initiated a criminal investigation into the owners and managers of the investigated shops. He pointed out that those responsible for illegal business activities will face up to 5 years in prison and fines, while the state consumer protection agency has imposed administrative penalties on these enterprises.
