The goods in the two containers were declared as toys, tools, computer accessories, auto parts and musical instruments, but they were actually loaded with e-cigarettes and cartridge refills (2% and 5% e-liquid content).
Since the issuance of RFB Directives No. 2.229/2024 and No. 2.231/2024 in October 2024, the Brazilian tax authorities have intercepted six containers of e-cigarettes at the Port of Santos, which were originally intended for shipment to other countries.
