57 disposable e-cigarettes with the "HAYATI" logo were found in a sewer in a county in the UK

The sewer in County Durham, England, was clogged by 57 disposable e-cigarettes, some of which were labeled "HAYATI". Authorities called on users to properly dispose of e-cigarettes to avoid the risk of explosion.
According to The Northern Echo on September 3, in August, sewage treatment workers in the west of County Durham, England, received a report of sewer blockage and found 57 disposable e-cigarettes stuck in the pipes, some of which were labeled "HAYATI".
Northumbrian Water said that these e-cigarettes squeezed each other and caused serious blockage. Subsequently, the staff cleared these e-cigarettes and restored the normal flow of the pipeline.

Authorities remind e-cigarette users to properly dispose of used e-cigarettes and not throw them into the sewer or toilet, and warn that e-cigarettes may explode in the sewer.
Simon Cyhanko, an employee of the company, said,
"Our team has found all kinds of things in the sewer, but this is the first time we have seen e-cigarettes on such a scale."
"E-cigarettes not only cause blockages, but can also become explosive devices. Fortunately, thanks to the efforts of our team, this blockage was cleared quickly and safely without causing environmental impact. We are working hard to identify and educate those responsible for littering e-cigarettes."
