Vaping And Public Policy

More than 66% of respondents said they believe vaping is different from smoking. This shows that there is a clear fundamental difference between the properties and effects of smoking and vaping dried herbs in consumers' perceptions.
The findings here point to an overwhelming belief among those who use e-cigarettes that there is not enough reliable information to inform the general public about the overall health benefits of e-cigarettes. The underlying reason for this may stem from the fact that there is currently little difference in public perception between smoking and vaping. Therefore, it is likely that many of the known harmful effects of smoking also continue to be attributed to vaping.

74.1% of respondents feel strongly enough about vaping that officials should start promoting them as a healthier alternative to smoking. 19.2% are undecided, and only 6.7% disagree with tzhi's statement.
On whether there should be a charter on e-cigarettes and smoking, only 53.9% of respondents agreed, while 29.7% disagreed. 16.4% completely disagree with separate charters for smoking and vaping.
An overwhelming 91.5% of the respondents agreed that a clear distinction must be made between dry herb vaporizers and vaping devices. This may be because e-cigarettes are designed around nicotine consumption and vaporizers are used to vaporize dried herbs, which are two completely different products.
