Ukrainian police seized 17000 illegal e-cigarette products related to the e-cigarette brand "ELFBAR"

Ukrainian police have seized approximately $270000 worth of 17000 electronic cigarettes and related products, including the e-cigarette brand "ELFBAR". These products are mainly sold through Telegram and are supplied by the European Union.
On October 23rd, according to a report by B исокий, police in Lviv, Ukraine, exposed a case of illegal sale of electronic cigarettes and seized related goods worth over 11 million hryvnias (approximately 270000 US dollars). The seized products involve the electronic cigarette brand "ELFBAR".

In this case, the criminal gang transported electronic cigarettes into the country through customs checkpoints in Lviv and Volyn, avoiding customs inspections. According to a report from the Lviv Economic Security Bureau (БЕБ), these electronic cigarette products and their nicotine containing e-liquids are mainly sold on Telegram, with suppliers from the European Union.
The authorities conducted searches on multiple cars, multiple warehouses, and the residences of the individuals involved in the case. More than 17000 electronic cigarettes, electronic atomization equipment, and related e-liquids were seized, with an estimated value of over 11 million hryvnias.
At present, the criminal investigation into this criminal case is still ongoing, and the possible crimes committed by the suspects comply with the provisions of Article 201-4, Paragraph 1 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code. The case has been entrusted to multiple judicial appraisals to further clarify responsibilities.
