The British government recently announced that it will ban disposable e-cigarettes.

The British government says disposable e-cigarettes are a key factor in the growth of e-cigarette use among teenagers. In the past two years, the proportion of British e-cigarette users aged 11 to 17 using disposable e-cigarettes has increased nearly nine-fold. The British government will regulate e-cigarette flavors, packaging and e-cigarette displays in stores to ensure that they are not attractive to minors. In addition, the government will impose fines on stores that sell e-cigarettes to children and ban underage consumers from using e-cigarette alternatives such as nicotine pouches. In order to ensure that regulatory measures are implemented in place, the British government plans to allocate 30 million pounds (1 pound is approximately RMB 9.11) to departments such as the Revenue and Customs Administration and the Trading Standards Bureau every year.
