The police in Türkiye seized 24000 illegal e-cigarettes worth 700000 US dollars

Türkiye's police intercepted 24000 illegal electronic cigarettes at a customs port, worth about 700000 dollars. These electronic cigarettes were hidden in the goods declared as auto parts.
Haberler reported on October 14 that Türkiye's police intercepted an illegal electronic cigarette worth 24 million lira (US $700000) at the customs port of Hamzabeyli in Edirne.
Through risk analysis and target identification, the authorities found suspicious signs in two trucks about to enter Türkiye, and immediately carried out X-ray scanning detection. The scanning results show suspicious high-density areas, prompting relevant personnel to conduct a detailed examination.
In further searches of the truck, law enforcement officers found 24000 smuggled electronic cigarettes in addition to the goods declared as car parts. These electronic cigarettes have a market value of up to 24 million lire (700000 US dollars) and have been confiscated.
