The number of banned e-cigarette websites in Italy has increased to 876 and they are ordered to adjust their operations before October 2

Italian customs banned 876 websites that illegally sold e-cigarettes and required violators to rectify by October 2. In addition, the Turin Court ruled that e-cigarette products should not be promoted through publicity activities, and violations will lead to website bans.
According to Sigmagazine on September 20, the Italian Customs and Monopoly Administration recently announced that the number of websites banned by the Administration for illegal sales of inhalable e-liquid products or goods subject to tax monopoly management has risen to 876.
According to the relevant notice, these websites need to correct the violations before October 2, 2024, and specific measures include removing products that are not authorized to be sold to private individuals, such as ready-to-use e-liquids and disposable e-cigarettes.
In addition, the Turin Court recently ruled that e-cigarette products may not be promoted through commercial offers, flyers or in-store posters. Merchants can only show the technical characteristics of the device or the taste of the mixed spices, but may not add subjective comments or words that attract consumers' attention. Any inappropriate promotional information will lead to the banning and subsequent blocking of the website.
