Thai police seized thousands of electronic cigarettes and related products related to the brand 'RELX'

A Thai inspection team destroyed an illegal shop selling electronic cigarettes and seized over a thousand illegal electronic cigarettes and related products, some of which involved the brand "RELX".

 

According to Daily News on October 12th, the drug and social order inspection team in Supambari Province, Thailand recently successfully destroyed a shop selling electronic cigarettes illegally.

 

The department dispatched undercover agents to conduct a entrapment operation in a place that appeared to operate a clothing store. It is understood that the store secretly sells electronic cigarettes. The person in charge of sales in the store is a young man. After undercover agents showed evidence of enticement, inspectors immediately conducted a surprise search.

 

Inspectors seized over 1000 illegal items of various types in the store, including 155 disposable electronic cigarettes, 22 electronic cigarette machines, 218 bottles of electronic cigarette e-liquid, 705 disposable electronic cigarette oil nozzles, and 36 boxes of electronic cigarette devices. The seized electronic cigarette products involved the brand "RELX".

 

Subsequently, the police detained three young men and formally charged them with concealing, assisting in the sale, and handling of prohibited goods. According to Thai customs regulations and consumer protection laws, this behavior may result in these suspects facing up to 5 years in prison and a fine of four times the total price of the goods and tariffs, or both.
