Thai police cracked down on e-cigarette smuggling case targeting Chinese tourists and arrested a man

Thai police arrested a Hong Kong man who was accused of producing and selling illegal e-cigarettes and e-liquids to Chinese tourists. Police found a large number of e-cigarette-related products and unregistered guns at his residence.
According to The Pattaya News on December 22, on December 19, Pattaya police arrested a Hong Kong man (Hing Ping Sin) at a hotel in Pattaya. The man was accused of producing and selling e-cigarettes and e-liquids to Chinese tourists locally.
After searching the suspect's residence, the police found 43 e-cigarette cartridges, 1,200 empty cards, 30 e-cigarette devices, 900 e-cigarette bases, four bottles of e-liquid, 968 grams of liquid ingredient powder, three gallons of e-liquid, an electronic scale, an unregistered semi-automatic gun and three .380 caliber bullets.

Sin reportedly admitted to producing and selling e-cigarettes mainly to Chinese tourists. He also admitted to illegally carrying a gun for self-defense during the transaction.
The police have charged the suspect with smuggling illegal goods and possessing unregistered firearms and ammunition.
He is currently undergoing legal proceedings.
