Thai customs seized nearly 400,000 illegal e-cigarettes with a value of over $4.8 million

Thai customs and police seized nearly 400,000 smuggled e-cigarettes and accessories worth more than 160 million baht (about 4.8 million U.S. dollars), and plan to expand the scope of the investigation to track down illegal warehouses.
According to News.ch7 on September 19, recently, Thai customs, Central Bureau of Investigation police and Ministry of Health officials raided a container at a port in Samutprakarn Province and seized a batch of smuggled e-cigarettes, e-cigarette accessories and e-cigarette oils, totaling nearly 400,000 pieces, worth more than 160 million baht (about 4.8 million U.S. dollars).
Authorities said that relevant departments will expand the scope of the investigation to track down possible illegal storage warehouses in Samutprakarn and Pathum Thani provinces.
