Scotland plans to ban disposable e-cigarettes

According to a recent report by the BBC, Scotland may ban the use of disposable e-cigarettes.

The Scottish Government is to hold a consultation on a ban on disposable e-cigarettes. A recent Scottish Government report showed that 22% of under-18s in Scotland used e-cigarettes last year, with more young people using e-cigarettes than cigarettes.

According to the report, most e-cigarette users under the age of 18 prefer disposable e-cigarettes.

Research estimates that up to 2.7 million disposable e-cigarettes were discarded in Scotland last year.
