Philip Morris International introduces ZYN nicotine pouches in Romania to expand new tobacco product line

Philip Morris International Romania (PMI) announced that it will introduce ZYN nicotine pouches in the country to expand its new tobacco product portfolio.

According to Business Review EU on November 26, Philip Morris International Romania (PMI Romania) announced the addition of ZYN nicotine pouches to its new tobacco product portfolio.

Philip Morris Romania said that for the sake of health, the best thing for smokers is to give up nicotine and tobacco products completely. However, data shows that less than one in ten people successfully quit smoking each year. Therefore, Philip Morris has developed a series of science-based new tobacco products as a better alternative to cigarettes for adults who may continue to smoke.

Marek Gebski, Head of Smoke-free Products at PMI Romania, said,

"Oral products are an important addition to our portfolio of novel tobacco products and they will help us take an important step in accelerating the transition to a smoke-free future. We believe that no single product will satisfy the preferences of all adult smokers, so a diverse and science-based product portfolio is an important factor in supporting smokers in their decision to quit smoking."
