More than 1,000 illegal e-cigarettes were seized in Nottingham, UK, involving brands such as "ENJOY" and "HAYATI"

The Nottingham trading standards team in the UK seized more than 1,000 illegal e-cigarettes in a week, including brands such as "ENJOY" and "HAYATI". Trading standards officials said that nearly 8,000 illegal e-cigarettes have been seized so far this year.
According to Nottinghampost on September 11, the Nottingham City Council Trading Standards Team in the UK seized more than 1,100 illegal e-cigarettes from two stores in a week. The devices were seized during surprise inspections of two stores in Radford and Hessen Green.
In a raid last week, the trading standards team seized 815 illegal e-cigarettes from a store in Radford. The specific date and store location have not yet been announced. On August 29, the authorities also seized more than 300 e-cigarettes from a store in Hessen Green. The seized e-cigarette products were branded with "ENJOY" and "HAYATI".
Some of the seized e-cigarettes had a capacity of up to 30 ml, which was 15 times the legal capacity of 2 ml.
On September 6, the team said in a post shared by X,
"Nottingham City Trading Standards Team seized 815 illegal e-cigarettes from a shop in Radford. Are you selling e-cigarettes? Make sure you know the law. E-cigarettes with a capacity of more than 2ml are illegal and cannot be sold."
Trading Standards officers said that nearly 8,000 illegal e-cigarettes have been seized so far this year, more than 7,500 illegal e-cigarettes have been seized in 2023, and only 1,786 were seized in 2022.
