The Philippines Has Significantly Raised The Minimum Price Of Electronic Cigarettes.

According to the tax regulations released by the Philippine Internal Revenue Service (BIR) on July 18th, in order to reflect the latest tax and production cost estimates, the country has raised the minimum retail prices of electronic cigarettes and cigarettes.
After the adjustment, the minimum price per pack of cigarettes is currently set at 85.57 pesos (1.45 US dollars), higher than the previous 78.58 pesos (1.34 US dollars), and the production cost is also expected to rise to 10.25 pesos (0.17 US dollars) per pack. The minimum price of heated tobacco products is currently 61.47 pesos (1.04 US dollars) per pack (20 cigarettes).
In terms of electronic cigarettes, the minimum price of a 2-milliliter nicotine cartridge has soared from 180.67 pesos (3.07 US dollars) to 353.18 pesos (6 US dollars), almost doubling.
The minimum price of disposable cartridges is currently 183.31 pesos (3.12 US dollars), the minimum price of pre-filled cartridges is 174.89 pesos (2.97 US dollars), and the minimum price of disposable devices is 98.18 pesos (1.67 US dollars). All of these prices are for 10-milliliter products.
It has been disclosed that in the first half of 2025, the consumption tax on tobacco products collected by the Philippine Internal Revenue Service reached 58.97 billion pesos (1 billion US dollars), an increase of 34%. The consumption tax on electronic cigarettes soared by 738% to 1.5 billion pesos (25.5 million US dollars).
