According to recent media reports, the UK is working hard to curb the increase in illegal e-cigarettes. Since 2022, the number of illegal e-cigarettes smuggled in the UK has reached 2 million.

In the first four months of this year, illegal e-cigarettes were seized across the UK seven times more than in the whole of 2021, and data shows that Lancashire is the main area for illegal e-cigarette sales. More than twice as many illegal e-cigarettes as fake cigarettes have been seized in the UK this year.

Since 2021, London, the southeast and northwest of England have been the areas with the highest number of illegal e-cigarette seizures in the country.
