The EU REACH SVHC List Has Been Updated To 250 Items.

Helsinki, June 25, 2025 - ECHA has added three substances to the SVHC list. Two of these substances have extremely strong persistence and bioaccumulation properties, while the third substance has reproductive toxicity. As of now, the SVHC list contains a total of 250 substances. The details of the three substances are as follows:

As of now, the REACH SVHC list includes 250 formal substances, 3 potential substances (hexamethyl disiloxane, dodecamethyl pentasiloxane, n-hexane), and 1 pending substance (resorcinol).
(2) In accordance with Article 33 of the REACH regulation and the requirements of the Waste Framework Directive (WFD), if the content of SVHC substances in an item is greater than 0.1%, the enterprise shall complete the SCIP notification.
(3) According to Article 7(2) of the REACH regulation, if the content of SVHC substances in an item is greater than 0.1% and the annual shipment volume of this SVHC is more than 1 ton, the enterprise is required to notify ECHA.
(4) For products of a material or mixture type (such as paints, inks, etc.) that contain SVHC candidate substances, the manufacturer should provide a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) to the downstream users. For mixtures, the UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) must also be filled in the Section 1.1 of the SDS.
(5) According to the EU Eco-label regulations, products containing SVHC cannot obtain the eco-label.
