FDA Warns Retailers Selling E-cigarettes With Packaging That Mimics Wine Bottles

FDA warns retailers selling e-cigarettes with packaging that mimics wine bottles

Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued warning letters to three online retailers, requiring them not to sell e-cigarettes with packaging that imitates wine bottles.

The Luckee Vape Daniels brand products sold by these retailers are disposable flavored e-cigarettes, packaged to imitate wine bottles, and include a variety of alcohol flavors.

Data from the U.S. National Youth Tobacco Survey show that disposable e-cigarettes are the most commonly used type of e-cigarette among American middle school students. Among American teen e-cigarette users, about nine out of 10 said they use flavored e-cigarettes, with fruit flavors being the most popular, accounting for 63.4%, and about 7.2% said they used alcohol-flavored e-cigarettes.
