ELFBAR and LOST MARY have announced the establishment of an advisory committee in the UK, composed of experts from government, healthcare, and law enforcement fields, aimed at providing strategic guidance for brands to address issues such as youth e-cigarette use, environmental impact, and illegal trade, and plan to promote this mechanism to other international markets.


On October 21st, according to the US news agency, ELFBAR and LOST MARY announced the establishment of an advisory committee in the UK to provide strategic guidance for brands.

 

This committee is composed of senior executives from relevant fields in the UK, including national and local governments, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement agencies. The responsibility of the members is to provide advice on key aspects of their work and operations for both brands.

 

Victor Xiao, Global Vice President of ELFBAR and LOST MARY, stated that,

 

The establishment of this committee marks a milestone in the global operations of ELFBAR and LOST MARY. This is consistent with our long-term commitment as a responsible market leader in the global e-cigarette industry and our exploration of the role of e-cigarette products in smoking cessation

 

The committee also expressed our intention to address issues such as youth use of electronic cigarettes, environmental impact, and illegal trade. Starting from the UK, we also hope to extend this mechanism to other global markets, including the Middle East and Africa

 

Members of the UK Advisory Committee have held senior positions in their respective professional fields and have direct work experience in the environment, National Health Service (NHS), and law enforcement related to electronic cigarettes. We are honored to have such a group of experts who bring rich professional knowledge and guide us to become more socially responsible corporate citizens

 

The members of the UK Advisory Committee include:

 

Steve Bennett, former director of investigation of the National Crime Bureau;
Former Congressman and Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, George Eustice;
Susie Kemp, former CEO of Swinton District Council and Deputy CEO of Surrey County Council;
Former Chairman of the Municipal Council and Chairman of the Local Government Association, Lord Porter;
Sairah Salim Sartoni, a qualified health psychologist with 20 years of experience in quitting smoking and reducing the harm of tobacco, has experience in the NHS;
Non partisan MP, former Labour MP and special advisor to Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Business Secretary Lord Hutton, Lord Walney.
