Effective July 1st! Belarus will implement a licensing system for the sale of e-cigarettes
According to news from Belarusian media on June 25th, the Belarusian tax department stated that the sale of nicotine-containing non-tobacco products and e-liquids requires corresponding licenses from July 1st.
The report mentioned that according to the Belarusian "License Law", starting from January 1, 2023, the retail trade of non-tobacco nicotine-containing products and liquids used in electronic cigarette systems will be licensed. The relevant regulations provide for a transition period to facilitate the application of licenses by the corresponding business entities.
Relevant regulations show that as of January 1, 2023, the above-mentioned products have been retailed, and the relevant sales activities need to end before July 1. If you want to continue to sell in the future, you need the corresponding license of the channel.
If the "tobacco product retail" service is indicated in the license before January 1, 2023, it is necessary to submit a notification to the licensing agency in the form prescribed by MART before July 1. If you have not already obtained a license, you must apply as soon as possible.
The Ministry of Taxation of Belarus emphasized that from July 1, commercial entities that do not comply with the law shall not retail nicotine-containing non-tobacco products and e-liquid; Clean up the inventory a few days ago, otherwise, you will face administrative punishment under the provisions of Article 13.3 Part 1 of the Belarusian "Administrative Offenses Code"; or be punished according to the criminal acts stipulated in Article 233 of the Belarusian Criminal Code.
