E-cigarette sales in Malaysia are expected to reach 3.48 billion ringgit this year
Recently, the Malaysian Electronic Cigarette Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) estimated that e-cigarette sales in Malaysia this year will reach 3.48 billion ringgit.
Recently, the Malaysian Electronic Cigarette Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) estimated that e-cigarette sales in Malaysia this year will reach 3.48 billion ringgit (1 Malaysian ringgit is approximately RMB 1.57), an increase of 53% compared to 2019’s 2.27 billion ringgit.
The "Malaysian E-Cigarette Industry Research 2023" released by MVCC stated that 31% of Malaysian smokers have completely switched to e-cigarettes, and another 69% of smokers also use e-cigarettes while using cigarettes. The study also believes that as the number of employees in the e-cigarette industry increases, the industry's contribution to the economy has also increased significantly. Currently, there are approximately 10,000 stores in Malaysia selling e-cigarette products. In 2022, the number of employees in Malaysia's e-cigarette industry will reach 31,500.
