Brazilian police seized nearly 2,000 illegal e-cigarettes involving well-known brands such as "ELFBAR" and "IGNITE"

The police of Santa Catarina State, Brazil, jointly took action to crack down on the illegal sale of e-cigarettes. In two operations, a total of 1,761 e-cigarettes and related refills were seized, and 17 people were arrested, involving well-known brands including "ELFBAR" and "IGNITE".
According to Click Camboriu on September 10, the police of Santa Catarina State, Brazil, and the Criminal Investigation Police (DIC) of Balneário Camboriú and Itajaí jointly took action to crack down on the illegal sale of e-cigarettes in the region.
The first operation was carried out on September 6 in a nightclub on Brava Beach, where a total of 98 e-cigarettes were seized and 6 people were arrested. The second operation was carried out on September 10, and 1,663 e-cigarettes, 363 e-cigarette refills and a gun were seized in Balneário Camboriú. In addition, 11 people were arrested. Among the seized e-cigarette products, e-cigarettes with multiple brand logos, including "ELFBAR" and "IGNITE", were found.
The arrested person was prosecuted on the spot for violating the relevant laws on consumer relations and has been sent to the prison system to await judicial processing.
