Recently, Australian law enforcement authorities seized 15 tons of illegal e-cigarettes from a warehouse northeast of Perth, with a total number of more than 300,000 e-cigarettes and an estimated value of 10 million Australian dollars (1 Australian dollar is approximately RMB 4.71). It is reported that this is the largest illegal e-cigarette case ever seized in Australia.
Law enforcement agencies stated that the raid was conducted after receiving a report, and more than 10 tons of illegal cigarette cartridges were also seized during the inspection. According to Australian law, the maximum penalty for individuals illegally selling illegal e-cigarettes is a fine of AUD 45,000 and three years in prison, and the maximum penalty for a company is a fine of AUD 225,000.
