The North Ayrshire Police in the UK jointly seized illegal nicotine products worth 24,500 pounds, including cigarettes, tobacco bags and counterfeit e-cigarettes.
According to Irvinetimes on August 19, the North Ayrshire Police in the UK seized illegal nicotine products worth 24,500 pounds on the same day.
It is reported that local police and trading standards officers worked with specially trained police dogs to visit several shops and bars selling nicotine products in the county.
In the various places inspected, law enforcement officers seized nearly 17,000 illegal cigarettes, 160 illegal tobacco bags and 1,000 counterfeit e-cigarette products, with a total estimated value of 24,500 pounds.
A spokesman for the Scottish Police said,
"In an ongoing, intelligence-driven multi-agency collaboration, the Scottish Ayrshire Police, the North Ayrshire Council, and a consumer protection dog and its trainer visited several e-cigarette shops, newsstands and bar venues in North Ayrshire today."
