British police seized about 46,000 pounds of illegal cigarettes and e-cigarettes in a crackdown in Conwy, Wales, and the seized products involved the brand "HAYATI".

According to Dailypost on September 25, in a crackdown in Conwy, Wales, UK on Monday (23rd), the police seized a large number of illegal cigarettes and e-cigarettes, and the seized products involved the e-cigarette brand "HAYATI".

Conwy County Borough Council said in a statement,

"On September 23, Conwy Trading Standards, assisted by North Wales Police, Immigration Enforcement, Wagtail Detection Dog and Operation CeCe, inspected three commercial premises and one residential home in the Conwy County area. All four premises were supplying illegal and unsafe cigarettes and tobacco, as well as illegal e-cigarettes, which were being sold to adults and children."

"During the inspection, highly sophisticated, purpose-built concealed devices were discovered, which were used to store illegal and unsafe tobacco and e-cigarettes. All products identified as illegal (approximately £46,000 worth) have been seized and investigations are ongoing."

"Those who sell and supply illegal and unsafe products are not only happy to sell them to very young children, but also destroy legitimate local businesses and are almost always linked to modern slavery, child sexual exploitation and serious organised crime."
