Vape pods

"Vape pods" (commonly known as "vape cartridges") are currently very popular electronic cigarette devices. It is usually a compact system consisting of a rechargeable battery and replaceable cartridges.
In simple terms, it has simplified the complex vaporizer and oil tank of traditional electronic cigarettes into a plug-and-play small "pod" (cigarette cartridge).
?? Two core types
Based on the usage method, they are mainly divided into two categories:
Closed Pod System: Also known as pre-filled oil system. The pod is pre-filled with tobacco oil when it leaves the factory. Once used up, it can be discarded and replaced with a new one.
Advantages: Extremely simple, no need for oiling or cleaning, plug-and-play.
Disadvantages: Limited choices, can only use the flavors and nicotine concentrations specified by the brand; higher long-term costs; generates more waste.
Open Pod System: Also known as the oil-injecting system. The cartridges are empty and require users to purchase pre-filled cartridges of e-liquid for injection.
Advantages: Highly flexible. You can freely choose any brand of e-liquid, and customize the taste and nicotine concentration as you wish; it is more cost-effective in the long run.
Disadvantages: Requires manual operation. Needs to be lubricated and cleaned by oneself, and the atomizer core needs to be replaced regularly; The initial investment may be higher.
⚖️ Advantages and Disadvantages Advantages

Compact and portable: The design is compact and can be easily placed in a pocket or bag.
Easy to use: The operation is simple and it is very suitable for beginners.
Nicotine experience is good: Regular use of nicotine salts can provide a more similar sense of satisfaction to that of traditional cigarettes.
Variety of flavors: From fruits, mint to tobacco, the flavors are extremely diverse.
Disadvantages

Oil leakage may occur: This is a common issue, which could be caused by temperature changes, aging of the sealing ring, or improper oil injection.
Battery life: The battery capacity is usually small, and it may need to be recharged once a day.
Atomizer wear (with oil injection): The atomizer is a consumable item and needs to be replaced every 1-2 weeks.
??️ Usage and Maintenance
Basic usage steps (taking the oilable type as an example):
Remove the cartridge: Remove the cartridge from the battery rod.
Open the oil injection hole: Locate the silicone plug on the side of the cartridge and remove it.
Injecting the tobacco oil: Drop the tobacco oil through the oil injection hole. Be careful not to fill it too full.
Wait quietly: After adding the oil, make sure to wait for at least 3-5 minutes to allow the e-liquid to fully penetrate the atomizer core, to prevent dry burning.
Installation and Usage: Simply insert the cartridge back into the battery rod to use. Some devices are activated by inhalation, while others require pressing the ignition button.
Daily Maintenance Tips:
Maintain cleanliness: Regularly use cotton swabs to clean the connection point between the cartridge and the battery to prevent condensation liquid or smoke oil from accumulating.
Prevent oil leakage: Ensure that the cartridge is installed correctly and keep the equipment upright when storing.
Proper charging: Charge the device using the charging cable provided with it. Avoid overcharging.
?? How to choose?
Which one to choose mainly depends on your personal preference:
If you are a beginner, you might prefer the most convenient and hassle-free option: the sealed (pre-oiled) system would be more suitable for you.
If you enjoy doing things yourself and want more flavors and better long-term cost-effectiveness: an open (capable of being filled with oil) system would be a better choice.
