US FDA updates import alert list: British American Tobacco nicotine pouch brand VELO is included
The U.S. FDA has updated the "Import Alert" list, and British American Tobacco's nicotine pouch brand VELO has been included.
Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) updated its "98-06 Import Alert" list (also known as the "Red List"). The FDA's updated guidance states that departments can detain tobacco products listed on this import alert red list without physical inspection.
The products that have been included recently are mainly British American Tobacco's nicotine pouch brand VELO. Previously, British American Tobacco's "Lyft Cool Air" nicotine pouch was also included in the list.
