Ukrainian police seized nearly 350,000 illegal e-cigarette products with a total value of about $580,000. The importer of the batch of goods was suspected of providing false information.

On November 21, the Ukrainian Economic Security Bureau announced that the Economic Security Bureau of Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, seized nearly 350,000 e-cigarette products containing banned substances imported from China in an operation.

When checking the shipping documents and customs declaration documents shipped to the "Lviv North" customs station, law enforcement officers discovered the batch of illegally imported goods. After investigation, it was confirmed that the importer provided documents containing false information.

The recipient of this batch of disposable e-cigarettes is a company located in Odessa Oblast.

Investigators inspected the vehicles and seized more than 346,000 illegal e-cigarettes and related products, with a total value of about 24 million hryvnias (about 580,000 US dollars). Laboratory test results showed that the fillings of these e-cigarettes violated Ukraine's "Law on Preventing and Reducing the Use of Tobacco Products and Their Harm to Public Health".

Currently, the case is in the pre-trial investigation stage.
