The British Isle of Man's E-Cigarette Products Bill will come into effect on May 27, meaning the sale and supply of e-cigarette products to people under the age of 18 will be banned.

According to a report by Manxradio on May 21, the British Isle of Man E-cigarette Products Act will come into effect on May 27, which means that the sale and supply of e-cigarette products to people under the age of 18 will be prohibited.

New advertising restrictions and display rules will also be implemented from September, meaning that public display of e-cigarette products will no longer be allowed in retail stores accessible to people under 18 years of age.

Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan said,

"It is very positive to be able to bring this bill into action with royal assent and it is an important step forward for adolescent health now and into the future."

In addition, the bill states that anyone selling vaping products to anyone under the age of 18 may face a fine of £5,000. For those aged between 16 and 18, importing vaping products will be an offense punishable by a fine of up to £500.
