Russian President signs bill: Selling e-cigarettes to minors is criminalized

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that bans the sale of nicotine-containing products, such as e-cigarettes, to minors, and offenders will be held criminally liable.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that introduces criminal liability for repeated sales of alcohol, tobacco and nicotine-containing products to minors in Russian law, RIA reported on December 28.
The law provides for a fine of 50,000 to 80,000 rubles ($480-760) or a deduction of three to six months of the convicted person's salary or other income for repeated sales of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine-containing products or their raw materials, hookahs, and nicotine-containing product consumption devices to minors. In addition, the penalties include up to one year of corrective labor and may include a ban on engaging in specific positions or activities for up to three years.
