Ningbo Customs cracked down on e-cigarette smuggling case and seized 12,800 "IGET" counterfeit e-cigarettes

Ningbo Beilun Customs and relevant departments jointly seized nearly 3 million yuan worth of "Manchester" counterfeit cigarettes and 12,800 counterfeit "IGET" e-cigarettes, with a case value of nearly 3 million yuan.
According to a report on China Industrial Economic Information Network on June 26, Ningbo Beilun Customs, Beilun Customs Anti-smuggling Branch, and Ningbo Beilun District Tobacco Monopoly Bureau fully utilized their geographical advantages near the port and the coast to jointly establish a cooperation mechanism for counterfeit and smuggled tobacco, and successfully seized 1.6 million "Manchester" counterfeit cigarettes and 12,800 "IGET" counterfeit e-cigarettes, with a case value of nearly 3 million yuan.
According to reports, these departments found in a joint operation that a batch of goods expected to be exported to Germany contained counterfeit cigarettes and e-cigarettes. The export names of these goods are usually wooden picture frames, men's shirts, etc., and they are actually counterfeit cigarettes and counterfeit e-cigarettes identified by the tobacco monopoly department.
At present, the clues of the case have been transferred to the public security organs, and the case is under further investigation.
It is understood that this batch of smuggled fake cigarettes and e-cigarettes not only violated the provisions of the Customs Law, the Trademark Law and other laws, but also hindered the normal development of the domestic tobacco industry and seriously damaged my country's foreign trade image. To this end, the customs, anti-smuggling, tobacco and other departments decided to strengthen cooperation and continue to crack down on counterfeit and inferior tobacco products to ensure market stability and port order.

IGET products are only sent abroad through official channels, and IGET products circulating in the domestic market are all counterfeit.
