New York City will destroy thousands of pounds of illegal electronic cigarettes involving multiple brands such as YOOZ and AIR BAR

The mayor of New York City announced the destruction of over 1200 pounds of illegal electronic cigarettes, including well-known brands such as YOOZ and AIR BAR.
According to Audacy's report on October 17th, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that over 1200 pounds of illegal e-cigarette products that have been seized are now being prepared to be shipped out of New York City for destruction. The batch of products to be destroyed includes well-known e-cigarette brands such as YOOZ and AIR BAR.
The products seized by the action group contain batteries and other hazardous materials that require safe handling. The product will be sent to the New York Police Department (NYPD) in Ohio for long-term DNA evidence destruction supplier ENP Environmental for processing.
As of now, New York City has seized illegal products worth over $80 million (£ 61.44 million) in this operation, which have taken up too much space in the NYPD's evidence warehouse. In August of this year, the action team destroyed over four tons of illegal marijuana products, which is also part of the NYPD's standard procedure for burning illegal items.
